Edrd 605: Action Based Reading Research
Teacher Education
This course will provide students with the research skills necessary to assess reading deficits in elementary-aged children and plan appropriate interventions while progress monitoring. Through a combination of theoretical foundations and practical applications, students will learn to identify, analyze, and address various reading deficits while selecting and designing appropriate instructional interventions. The teacher candidates will complete the full assessment cycle by assessing the effectiveness of the interventions, ensuring that the interventions meet the individual needs of students and adapt to the student’s progress over time.
