Phad 485: Industry Careers for Pharmacists

Pharmacy Administration

As part of this course, students will interact directly with and hear from executives and leaders across the pharmaceutical industry who have successfully navigated various roles and functions after obtaining graduate and/or Pharm.D. degrees. This elective course will provide a unique perspective to potential Pharm.D. students by exploring career options within the life sciences industry that allows students to leverage their pharmacy training but do so outside of traditional pharmacy roles. Often, pharmacy students have limited exposure to how pharmaceutical organizations structure their business, and as a result, have a limited understanding of roles and career opportunities that can be pursued. This course will include recorded presentations from a diverse set of industry leaders and will conclude with an industry career mapping by course participants.
