Coun 630: Foundations of School Counseling

This course emphasizes the role of the school counselor in comprehensive developmental guidance and counseling programs. The focus is on the historical evolution of the professional school counselor and the skills and techniques for working effectively with a diverse student population, kindergarten through grade 12. This includes the development of skills for working with teachers, parents, administrators, referral agencies, and other educational teams.
