The Patterson School of Accountancy offers four master’s degree programs: Master of Accountancy (M.Accy.), Master of Accountancy and Data Analytics (M.A.D.A.), Master of Taxation (M.Tax.), and Master of Taxation and Data Analytics (M.T.D.A.).
Requirements for full admission to a master’s program include completion of the required prerequisite courses (and minimum grades where applicable), a minimum GPA of 3.0, and a minimum GMAT score of 450 unless the applicant qualifies for a GMAT waiver.
Required prerequisites include: Accy 303, 304, 309, 401, 405, 411; Bus 250; Econ 202, 203, 230, 302; Fin 331; Math 267; Mgmt 371; and Mktg 351 (or equivalent courses taken at another institution). A minimum grade of C is required in Accy 401 and 405.

International students from countries other than those on the Office of Global Engagement exemption list are required to submit documentation of English language proficiency.
Students who do not meet the minimum requirements for full admission may be considered for admission in another category.
PhD Program
Admission to the Ph.D. program is based on the applicant's undergraduate and graduate record as well as the score made on the Graduate Management Admission Test.
A GMAT score of 600 or higher is required for admission. In recent years, GMAT scores have averaged above 650. International students must earn a TOEFL score of 600 or above (or 100 on the Internet-based TOEFL). All students must present credit equivalent to a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in accountancy. Two undergraduate calculus courses are also required. All students should hold some form of accounting certification such as the CPA, CMA, and/or CIA.
Fulfillment of these criteria does not guarantee admission; a limited number of students are accepted into the program each year. A personal interview, on campus, is required of all applicants prior to admission.
