Coun 609: Multicultural Counseling

This course is an examination of multicultural concepts, cultural identity development, and application of counseling strategies appropriate for culturally diverse clients. It also focuses on social justice and advocacy strategies as they relate to various populations, as well as the need for counselors to examine their own attitudes toward diverse populations and implement strategies to increase multicultural competency.
