The Schools of Nursing and Pharmacy operate on both the Oxford and Jackson campuses. The Schools of Dentistry, Health Related Professionals and Medicine, and the Health Sciences Graduate School, are based in Jackson only. (Additional healthcare programs are available through the School of Applied Sciences on the Oxford campus.) Other than these exceptions, the schools above are on the Oxford campus.

M.S. in Hospitality Management

Description

The goal of the University of Mississippi online Master of Science program in hospitality management, a nonthesis professional degree program, is to provide students an opportunity to contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field of study and the profession in order to develop more effective research and operational practices, and to qualify for leadership positions in teaching, research, hospitality management, and administration.

General Education Requirements

The following 10 courses (30 credit hours) are required for a student to successfully complete the online hospitality management graduate program.

NHM 617 - Advanced Food Service Management 3 hours
NHM 525 - Research I Principles 3 hours
NHM 526 - Statistics I in NHM 3 hours

Hospitality Management Emphasis Courses 21 hours
NHM 615 - Advanced Financial Management in Hospitality 3 hours
NHM 624 - Advanced Marketing Hospitality Industry 3 hours
NHM 627 - Trends & Topics Hospitality Management 3 hours
NHM 628 - Organizational Behavior in Hospitality 3 hours
NHM 662 - Advanced Lodging 3 hours
NHM 671 - Advanced Service Quality Management 3 hours
NHM 676 - Adv. Hospitality Information Technology 3 hours

Other Academic Requirements

Students must complete a final portfolio for degree completion.
