Description
The Intercollegiate Athletic Administration (IAA) Graduate Certificate is a post-baccalaureate, fully online web-based program. The IAA certificate includes four courses totaling 12 hours of graduate level course work. Courses are offered in 8-week terms, within the existing University of Mississippi academic calendar format, so that learners may complete the certificate in as little as 16 weeks or as long as two years.
The IAA Graduate Certificate Program will be housed in the Department of Health, Exercise Science and Recreation Management (HESRM) as part of the Sport and Recreation Administration (SRA) educational offerings. Recruitment, pre-enrollment, enrollment and post-enrollment services will be provided by the Online Student Success Office in the School of Applied Sciences.
The IAA certificate program is designed for individuals with backgrounds in business, administration, management, higher education, marketing and communications, and other related areas that are seeking an advanced understanding of intercollegiate athletics administration. The IAA certificate is tailored to enhance professional competencies in NCAA governance, internal operations, external operations and leadership skills with emphases in collegiate athletics organizations.

Course Requirements
The graduate certificate in Intercollegiate Athletic Administration would consist of the following courses (12 hours):
- SAS 600 - NCAA Governance (3 hours)
- SAS 601 - Internal Ops - Intercollegiate Athletics (3 hours)
- SAS 602 - External Ops - Intercollegiate Athletics (3 hours)
- SAS 603 - Leadership in Intercollegiate Athletics (3 hours)
