The Schools of Nursing and Pharmacy operate on both the Oxford and Jackson campuses. The Schools of Dentistry, Health Related Professionals and Medicine, and the Health Sciences Graduate School, are based in Jackson only. (Additional healthcare programs are available through the School of Applied Sciences on the Oxford campus.) Other than these exceptions, the schools above are on the Oxford campus.

Description

A minor in journalism is designed to prepare you to be an active participant in a changing media world. You will develop critical journalistic and integrated marketing abilities necessary for careers that require strong communications skills.

The minor is not valid for those pursuing a major in journalism or integrated marketing communications.

Course Requirements

A MINOR IN JOURNALISM consists of 18 credit hours in the following required courses: Jour 101, either Jour 102 or IMC 104, and four additional journalism courses, three of which must be at the 300 level or above. Grades lower than C in journalism courses will not be counted toward the journalism minor.
