The Schools of Nursing and Pharmacy operate on both the Oxford and Jackson campuses. The Schools of Dentistry, Health Related Professionals and Medicine, and the Health Sciences Graduate School, are based in Jackson only. (Additional healthcare programs are available through the School of Applied Sciences on the Oxford campus.) Other than these exceptions, the schools above are on the Oxford campus.

3 hrs fine arts 3 Student must successfully complete 3 hours in the fine arts. The course may be chosen from art history, art appreciation, and criticism of art, dance, music, and theatre arts. Courses emphasizing the enhancement of skills and performance are not acceptable.
3 hrs humanities 3 Complete 3 hrs of humanities choosing from course work in classics, literature, history, modern language, philosophy, religion, Southern studies, African American Studies, and Gender Studies.
3 hrs social sciences 3 Complete 3 hours of social sciences choosing from the following; economics, anthropology, political science, psychology, and sociology.
3-4 hrs science elective 3 Complete at least 3-4 hours of basic science elective chosen from the following: Bisc 160 and Bisc 161 (must complete both to receive credit), Geol 101, Geol 102, Geol 103, Geol 104, Geol 105, 106, 107, 120, Bisc 102, or Bisc 104.

6 hrs Tech Elective B 6 Complete 6 hrs of course work from Category B Tech Electives: Any course from List A; C E 414, C E 435, C E 495, C E 511, C E 514, C E 521, C E 531, C E 570, C E 572, C E 581, C E 585, C E 590; Engr 321, Engr 360, Engr 555, Engr 571, Engr 573, Engr 591, Engr 593; G E 440, G E 450; or other courses with the approval of the student's adviser and department chair including any relevant independent study course, e.g., Hon 401, C Op 301, C Op 302, C E 497, Engr 596, Engr 597, or Engr 598. Also, no more than one course from the approved list of the business minor: Accy 201, Accy 202, Econ 202, Econ 203, GB 350, and GB 370.
