The Schools of Nursing and Pharmacy operate on both the Oxford and Jackson campuses. The Schools of Dentistry, Health Related Professionals and Medicine, and the Health Sciences Graduate School, are based in Jackson only. (Additional healthcare programs are available through the School of Applied Sciences on the Oxford campus.) Other than these exceptions, the schools above are on the Oxford campus.

Complete 6 hours of social sciences choosing from the following; economics, anthropology, political science, psychology, and sociology.

Complete 6 hours of humanities choosing from the following: classics, literature, history, modern language, philosophy, religion, Southern studies, African American Studies, and Gender Studies.
3 hrs fine arts

Student must successfully complete 3 hours in the fine arts. The course may be chosen from art history, art appreciation, and criticism of art, dance, music, and theatre arts. Courses emphasizing the enhancement of skills and performance are not acceptable.
Complete 1 additional Geology, Geological Engineering or Engineering course at the 300-level or above.

ASBOG Fund of Geo exam
All seniors are required to take the ASBOG Fundamentals of Geology examination as administered by the Mississippi State Board of Registered Professional Geologists.
