Phcl 340: Animal Cells: Testing New Drugs
The aim of this course is to provide an introduction to the multiple biochemical and molecular approaches that explain how cell reacts to foreign organic agents without introducing the names of too many specific drugs. It is intended to develop the subject from the point of view of pharmacologists who are working at the molecular level and trying to understand the problems of drug-cell interactions. Parts of the discussion will be a repetition for some students. However, lectures are concentrated on key theories and novel approaches that hone in on a variety of contemporary interdisciplinary fields, which define pharmacology.
