The Schools of Nursing and Pharmacy operate on both the Oxford and Jackson campuses. The Schools of Dentistry, Health Related Professionals and Medicine, and the Health Sciences Graduate School, are based in Jackson only. (Additional healthcare programs are available through the School of Applied Sciences on the Oxford campus.) Other than these exceptions, the schools above are on the Oxford campus.

Master of Healthcare Administration

Description

The MHCA program will prepare students for senior management positions throughout the health care field. Upon completion of the program, graduates will have a thorough knowledge of health care administration theory and practice and will be prepared to assume leadership roles in a variety of health care settings.

Minimum Total Credit Hours: 48

Course Requirements

The MHCA program requires completion of 48 hours. The majority of the course work is delivered online as a collaborative program between the School of Business at the University of Mississippi (MBA courses) and the School of Health Related Professions at the University of Mississippi Medical Center (MHA courses). The final semester includes an internship in a health care facility within Mississippi or other approved location.
