The Schools of Nursing and Pharmacy operate on both the Oxford and Jackson campuses. The Schools of Dentistry, Health Related Professionals and Medicine, and the Health Sciences Graduate School, are based in Jackson only. (Additional healthcare programs are available through the School of Applied Sciences on the Oxford campus.) Other than these exceptions, the schools above are on the Oxford campus.

Overview

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry offers a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in biochemistry, B.A. in chemistry, Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in chemistry, B.S. in forensic chemistry, and a minor in chemistry. At the graduate level, the department offers a Master of Science (M.S.) in chemistry, Doctor of Arts (D.A.) in chemistry, and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in chemistry.

Accreditation

The B.S. in chemistry program is certified by the American Chemical Society. The B.S. in forensic chemistry is accredited by the American Academy of Forensic Science. The B.A. in biochemistry follows the guidelines of the American Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
