M.A. in Physics
Graduate work in physics is planned primarily to meet the needs of students who are looking forward to professional careers in physics, either as teachers or as research physicists. The M.A. degree does not require a thesis; it is based on graduate class work and an oral examination.
Minimum Total Credit Hours: 30
The M.A. in physics requires 30 hours of suitable graduate coursework, at least 15 hours of which must consist of physics courses numbered 600 level or higher.
Other Academic Requirements
Students are required to participate in the teaching of physics lectures or laboratories as part of their graduate training.
