Lin 341: Computational Linguistics
Modern Languages
This course provides an empirical introduction to computational linguistics and natural language processing methods and practice. Text data exists in large quantities in books, webpages, emails, and legal documents. In order to use the information contained in all these text data, computational tools are used to summarize it, search and retrieve key information, identify the associated sentiment, and classify texts among topics.
