S St 109: Rights and Southern Activism
Center for the Study of Southern Culture
This course focuses on the South, past and present, through the lens of civil rights, human rights, and forms of activism. Students analyze the region through its activists, understanding the problems they addressed, the language and strategies they used, the opposition they faced, and the connections among activists.
