Hst 585: Historiography of the Modern Middle East
History
This advanced reading course will offer a selection of key historiographical writings in the Middle East. We examine some of the debates and approaches that dominate history writing on the Arab lands of the region during the late nineteenth and twentieth century. The course is particularly suited for those preparing for the comps exams in the field.
