Port 309: Portuguese for Spanish Speakers I

This course is designed for students with strong Spanish proficiency whose knowledge of Spanish will be utilized for comparison purposes and as a base for building Portuguese skills. The course will cover the basics of Portuguese grammar, present selected aspects of the cultures of the Portuguese-speaking countries and develop in students their listening, speaking, writing and reading skills in Portuguese.
Students must have spent at least one semester studying Spanish abroad.
