Arab 415: Arabic Dialectology

This course hones students’ awareness of the diglossic situation in the Arabic-speaking world through analyzing possible causes that led to the emergence of the varieties of Arabic. Students will acquire a basic knowledge of the phonetic, morphologic, and syntactic peculiarities of different dialects spoken across the Arabic-speaking world.
