The Schools of Nursing and Pharmacy operate on both the Oxford and Jackson campuses. The Schools of Dentistry, Health Related Professionals and Medicine, and the Health Sciences Graduate School, are based in Jackson only. (Additional healthcare programs are available through the School of Applied Sciences on the Oxford campus.) Other than these exceptions, the schools above are on the Oxford campus.

Electives include 2-course sequence 6 As part of the required humanities, fine arts, and social sciences requirement, students must complete at least one two-course sequence from a department within one of the following areas: anthropology, economics, Latin American studies, political science, psychology, sociology, classics, English (200 level or above), history, modern language (200 level or above), honors, philosophy, religion, or Southern studies. Students may also chose courses in the history, appreciation, and criticism of art, dance, theatre arts, and music.
3 hrs social science 3 Complete 3 hours of social sciences choosing from the following; anthropology, economics, political science, psyschology, and sociology.
3 hrs humanities 3 Complete 3 hrs of humanities choosing from the following: classics, literature, history, modern language, philosophy, religion, Southern studies, African American Studies, and Gender Studies.
3 hrs fine arts 3 Successfully complete 3 hours in the fine arts. The course may be chosen from art history, music, dance, and theatre arts. Studio and workshop courses cannot be used to satisfy this requirement.
15 hrs fine arts/humanities/soc sci 15 Complete 15 hours in any of the social sciences, humanities or fine arts categories defined by the School of Engineering general education requirements. . Within the 15 hours, the student must fulfill the following requirements: - 3 hours of social science - 3 hours of fine arts - 3 hours of humanities - At least one two-course sequence from a department. . Courses may be chosen from the following departments anthropology, economics, Latin American studies, political science, psychology, sociology, classics, English (200 level or above), history, modern language (200 level or above), honors, philosophy, religion, or Southern studies. Students may also chose courses in the history, appreciation, and criticism of art, dance, mustic, and theatre arts.
