The Schools of Nursing and Pharmacy operate on both the Oxford and Jackson campuses. The Schools of Dentistry, Health Related Professionals and Medicine, and the Health Sciences Graduate School, are based in Jackson only. (Additional healthcare programs are available through the School of Applied Sciences on the Oxford campus.) Other than these exceptions, the schools above are on the Oxford campus.

Bisc 160: Biological Sciences I


This course is a comprehensive treatment of the major principles of modern biology, including the scientific method, essential chemistry, cellular organization and physiology, genetics, and evolution. Intended primarily for biology majors and minors, and other science majors, including pre-professional biomedical and pharmacy students.

  • Pre-Requisites: Minimum ACT mathematics score of 25 (SAT 580 or SATR 590), or B minimum in Chem 101, or B minimum in Math 121 and 123, or B minimum in Math 125 or higher.
